Classes for Children

If you're looking for a great place for you and your children you really should check out FFMC.  We do so many things that are fun for kids, and more importantly, things that help them grow in their Christian faith. 

Sunday mornings offer special Sunday School classes for each grade to help them grow and apply the Bible to their daily lives.  A listing of each Sunday School class is found in this booklet.  All classes begin at 9:45 AM.

 

Located in our Main Building

 

Crib Room – Ages birth through 9 months

Our crib room is located in the children’s educational wing of our main building

 

Tiny Tots – 9 months to 2 ½ years

Located in the children’s educational wing

 

Preschool Class –  2 ½ years to 4 years

Located in the children’s educational wing

 

Pre-K – Kindergarten –pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten

Located in the children’s educational wing

 

Primary Class – First grade through 3rd grade

Located in the children’s educational wing

 

 Located in our Youth Building

 

Middler – Junior Class – Grades 4 – 6

Located on the upper level of our youth building, room Y19

 

Children’s Church Information

 

Our nurseries are available for use throughout our worship services.

 

Preschool aged children ( pre-kindergarten 4 and 5 year olds ) meet for the entire service in their department.  These rooms are located in the children’s educational wing of the main church building.

 

Children 1st through the 6th grade participate in the worship service for approximately 35 minutes.  They are then dismissed to attend their own Primary and Junior Church.  Primary Church takes place in the Primary Sunday School Class, and Junior Worship takes place in the upper level of our youth building in the Junior Department (Y19).  From September - December 6th the children will be rehearsing for the Christmas Program practice during this time and they will all meet in the Junior Department. 

 

The time of dismissal is noted in the bulletin and/or will be announced from the pulpit.

 

Children make their way to the Fellowship Hall area where their leaders are waiting for them to escort them to Children’s Church.  Parents must meet their children at the Primary Class following the service, Primary children will not be dismissed to locate their parents or guardian.  The Junior Church children will be dismissed to find their parents.    

 

 

Parent / Guardian Notification

 

We use a number paging system to notify parents and guardians of any needs their children may have while in our nursery care.  Should they be needed to return to the nursery during the worship service a number given to them when they checked their child into the nursery will be displayed in the sanctuary.  Should the need occur during Sunday School class time a worker will come to the class the parent or guardian is attending to notify them in person.

 

Children may not be left at the church alone.  Parents or guardians must stay on the church grounds while their children are in our care unless a church sanctioned ministry event is taking place.

 

Preschool and Nursery Children Ministry

You can relax and enjoy your time here when you place your child in our nursery care.  Our four Preschool Nurseries divide the children according to age and development so they can receive the best care possible.  We have a loving and capable staff who will give your child all of the care and attention they need while in the nursery. 

 

 

Nursery care is provided during Sunday School and Morning Worship 

for children under four years of age.
